The great and the grand (SHAKESPEAREAN SONNET 1)

A long time ago, there was once a boy
Who was treated like dirt from his brother
He was kicked and pushed around like a toy
And he felt terribly like no other.

The two both had their strengths and their weakness
But in size, one was big and one was small
Bigger brother acted like a genius
While the smaller brother was a punching ball

Smaller brother then challenged the bigger
Not in strength of sports, but in mental wit
The bigger brother started to snigger
But the smaller claimed victorious hit

To the small brother, size never matters
Mind and soul will always win the latter

It just keeps getting better (QUATRAIN 4)

There was once a young cocky quidditch player who claimed he was the best in the land
Until he was defeated in a recent match by a medium build based man.
He trained all day hard so he could reclaim his title, as he was victorious
But then somebody new came along and defeated him, which made him feel inglorious.

The true heroes of the world (QUATRAIN 3)

Superman, Spider-man, Batman, to us, these are all heroes.
All they wish to do is help without recognition and we imagine they exist in addition.
But the police, doctors, and government have the same goal and are considered zeroes
When in heart and soul makes them the ones who truly save the world without recognition.

Outside of the box (QUATRAIN 2)

Some people are quite simple minded
They choose to write about weather or land
When you can think beyond reality if you're not blinded
And fantasy can create something brilliant and grand.

Frienemies (QUATRAIN 1)

We are two people, bound as enemies
We loath the others actions, however, admire their strategies
We fight like a game, like our two paths crossed our destinies
So different in casualties, so alike in formalities.

Professor Evils Plot (FREE-VERSE 5)

Our martian utopia was once grand and peaceful
Everything was free, for people lived to assist others
But on a stormy night, someone with the name of Professor Evil
Came along and caused oblivion, splitting up family, friends, and brothers.

Professor Evil did the absolute unbelievable to the people
He took EVERYTHING he could get his hands on
If they refused, he started to white and cry like a seagull
Which was a martians only weakness, allowing their goods to be withdrawn.

Professor Evil didn't give, only took
And soon, all of Mars belonged to him
He felt joy in having thousands of games and books
But still, the joy he felt was very slim.

No martians had anything to any degree
So Professor Evil returned all their possessions when he found out he was always mistaken
When doing this, he also found out why everything was free
Because giving is more satisfying than taking.

Raptor Racism (FREE-VERSE 4)

A young alien was once put in a school of all raptors
He loved school and had the will and heart to learn
But he was unaccepted and remained a captor
And spent most of his days wanting to burn

They picked on him being different with great perseverance
Not different in mind, heart, or soul
But in only his mere appearance
He felt alone, there was no one to help him control.

On the outside the alien remained different in his own way
But on the inside he had the same heart as the raptors
He couldn't stand it, being depressed everyday
It was a terrible life chapter.

10 years later he dedicated himself to being a speaker for peace
Telling everyone that every race should get along
After a lot of hard work, the alien population at the school began to increase
And since then, raptors and aliens at the school were friends for long.

God-like friendship (FREE VERSE 3)

My roommate; Zeus, will not stop playing his electric guitar,
Even though I always tell him he sounds like a swine
Hes a huge jerk who "accidentally" threw a lightning bolt at my car
But I guess hes generous and will always be there with some fine wine.

His brother, Neptune, is a real stick in the mud.
I have him in the same class in underwater biology
He can crack a joke once in awhile, but is still a dud.
And the way he talks to his pet fish is a little dodgy.

And then there's Hercules, who was broad and strong
Everyone quit the wrestling team when he decided to enter
But in reality, there was peace behind that brawn
Yet he still finds ways to make himself the center.

As arrogant and strange these people may be
I guess they're not that bad
They will defend anyone and protect with glee
And can always make people glad.

The gambling fish (FREE VERSE 2)

I departed from my home in the nine volcanic islands which were awesome
to visit my friend in Atlantis City
Who always seemed to have a gambling problem
So whenever I see him at loss, I'm full of pity.

He hasn't made a lot of money, more or less, lost a lot.
But he convinces himself he has to pay himself back at dead ends
Even though on some days he has to resort to sleeping in the parking lot
Its all terrible to see, for both fish family and friends.

When I arrived at the Atlantis City, I saw my friend sitting low
I ran over to confront, but he completely ignored me in my own house.
"Sorry, can't talk for anything, no."
Confused, I kept talking to him but he stayed a mouse.

Then. at once, I realized something of shock.
My friend had just lost everything he had.
Not just his money, items, or precious rocks,
But his memories, his rights, his family, just the ability to be sad.

The deaf scientist who made something possible (FREE-VERSE 1)

30 years ago, there was once a deaf scientist who believed in something unique
He didn't care about simplicities like particles of matter
To him, all of this was boring, agonizing, and extremely bleak.
At each feeble attempt however, his motivation began to shatter.

He had found a special element of radiation in his backyard
After examining, he figured out it was just a green apple core
Nothing interesting to perhaps only a old bard
But then, after looking one more time his spirits raised and he ran out the door

His ears started to tingle hard and the apple core glowed bright blue
And then, right in front of him, an alien popped up, looking like he wanted to run
"That will cure any deaf man" he howled like a dog in his shoes,
It was the first thing the man heard as he replied stuttering "H-How do I make one?"

It smiled and said "Do the impossible"
And then the man awoke from his bed and hit his head with a pow.
Nobody knows how he made all of this possible
But without him, I wouldn't be listening to this story right now.

Gloom and Light (HAIKU 4)

Gloomy skies, cold winds,
The darkness feels eternal,
But light never left

Anger in the skies (HAIKU 3)

Thunder roars in skies,
Lightnings its raging weapon,
Stops as color rise.

Introduction

Hello! Welcome to my blog; Poem Sid-y! On this blog, you will be able to read and enjoy the upcoming fictional creative and entertaining poems that will be posted!

Cities are usually peaceful, citizens have no worry of a terrible and unrealistic event occurring, such as a zombie apocalypse, or even an alien invasion, because it is all fictional and it will never happen.
But in a fictional world, all these things are regular, so while you're enjoying your day in Tokyo on a nice spring day, in poem Sid-y a free-verse will be posted explaining New York City getting overrun by aliens.
Poem Sid-y does not have a specific topic, such as underwater or nature, however it is mainly supposed to be fictional, so Rebecca Black and Justin Bieber could be considered good singers on this blog.
My poems will mostly be for entertainment, however, try and attempt to read in-between the lines of each poem for a hidden message placed inside.
The background for my blog was difficult to find, I wanted it to represent a kind of peaceful and modern city, with a sort of fantasy and fictional attribute. The way that the buildings are built going upwards shows a more unique type of archetecture, which cannot be created in reality due to weight, destruction, and other factors. It shows that the poems on the blog will be fictional with modern characteristics.
